JFATC (Japan Federation of Air Traffic Controllers) was constituted in 1981 and became a official member of IFATCA in 1982.
JFATC is made up of Labour Union of MLIT and ATCAJ (Air Traffic Control Association, Japan).

JFATC is maneged by secretariats of JFATC and their work contents are as follows.

• Information and technological exchange with other MA(Member Associations);
• Distributing information about IFATCA and other MA to ATCOs in Japan;
• Participating in international conference;

Headquarters office of JFATC is located in ATCAJ in Tokyo.
